Canfora was a favorite of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, for whom Amedeo never hesitated to open his shop out of normal trading hours so as to guarantee his client a fitting in total privacy. The sandal christened “K” was made exclusively for Mrs Onassis.
Now, Amedeo’s daughters have inherited the artistic skills of their father, and continue to make the beautiful handmade leather sandals from the little shop in Capri, updating the designs each year to reflect the changing fashions and as an expression of their innate creative talent.
