ATMosfera – A Quick Bite in the Air!!

Wouldn’t it be out of this world to take a window seat and watch the world go by while we linger over a cappuccino at the local bar?! Imagine for a moment, being able to watch the whole city go by. Monuments, towers and sculpted vistas would appear in front of your eyes, without you ever having to move from your seat. One such experience can be had right here in Milan in the ATMosfera, a moving restaurant which is set in some of the city’s finest historic tram cars.
The restaurant that offers the most complete view of Milan is nothing other than a beautifully restored vintage tram called ATMosfera, a play on words combining the company’s acronym ATM (which is Milan’s local public transportation company) with the idea of an atmospheric setting. In addition to the sophistication of its decor of the renovated tram, ATMosfera Milan offers three types of menus- meat, fish and vegetarian. The tram restaurant leaves every lunch at 1pm and every evening at 8pm from piazza Castello, corner of via Beltrami, to which it returns after about 2 hours of relaxed sightseeing.
Wrapped in class, sophistication and elegance you’ll enjoy an exclusive three-course dinner whilst weaving in and out of the shadows of the enchanting city by night. An ambiance not too dissimilar from that of the Orient Express provides a mysterious vintage background for this unusual dining experience. You can taste regional cuisine, which include traditional Milanese dishes prepared by internationally renowned chefs.
Both trams depart at 8.00 pm every evening from Piazza Castello and follow a circular route returning to the same place after about two and a half hours. Diners should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure. The trams follow the same route in opposite directions, both offering a panoramic tour of Milan by night, passing Castello Sforzesco, Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Cimitero Monumentale, the Stazione Centrale, La Scala, the Duomo, and Naviglio Grande.
If you are on a holiday in Italy and close to Milan, this is a must have experience of a lifetime. It is suggested that you hire a car to take you to Milan to the starting points of the trams, from where you can take your sky trip on ATMosfera and enjoy your short dining sojourn hanging over the Italian sky. Car Rental Italy provides convenient commuting options with economy packages and this would be the best bet among car rentals in Italy. They have come up to offer less pricy commuting options, especially for tourists to enjoy a pocket friendly and memorable vacation.
